Now that Covid Restrictions are being lifted, people are allowed back into the casinos. The first bet I would be willing to make is that there will be a whole new breed of people flocking to the casinos. The ones who found mild success with online casino games during quarantine. They now want to get out of the house and try their hand in a live setting.
This is why I found it necessary to write this piece about Casino etiquette. This is for all the people who just don’t know and for the ones who just plain forgot. Well, because it’s been a while.
Before you go to the casino and sit down at a table, you should know how to play the games, what the rules are, and any other things that may pertain to that game.
One very important thing to understand and know before you sit down at any table is that chips are real money, and how to use your chips. Know what each chip stands for, red chips are $5, green chips are $25, black chips are $100. Once you place your chips on the table, they must stay on the table until you cash out. Do not try to remove them or hide them in any way.
When you are ready to cash out, most dealers will prefer that you trade in your smaller denomination chips for larger ones. When chips are changing hands, give the dealer neat stacks and let them count and change the chips out.
When you have placed your chips on the table for a bet, do not touch them again until the round is over. Do not give any other player at the table chips, meaning you cannot share your chips with anyone at the table while seated.
Even though drinks are accessible in the casinos, do not drink in excess. If you are a smoker, be courteous and mindful of the other people around you; do not blow smoke into their faces.
Do not ask the dealers for advice, because the last thing they want is you blaming them for losing.
If you find yourself at the blackjack table, never rebuke another player for the way they play their hand. You must learn your hand signals before playing Blackjack; simply saying what you want will not be enough. If you bust lay your cards face up by your bed, never throw them.
If playing cards and the cards are dealt face down, only touch them with one hand and be gentle. Do not Bend or shuffle the cards in any way, and never put your drink on the cards.
When it comes to tipping, it is at your discretion; however you should always try to tip your dealer, they are trying to make a living like the rest of us. Respect them, and they will respect you.
Good Casino etiquette it’s just showing respect to the other people around you. It all goes back to the golden rule, treat others how you want to be treated.
