The 2012/2013 World Series of Poker Circuit is set to begin this August and the complete schedule of the circuit events has now been released. This year’s event will have twenty different stops and for the first time, the tour will host an event outside of the United States.
The tour will begin at the IP Casino Resort and Spa which is located in Biloxi, Mississippi on August 9th to the 20th. The tour will finish up in New Orleans at Harrah’s casino from May 9th to the 23rd. the tour will feature one event outside of the US which will take place from October 27th to November 7th. This stop will take place at the River Rock Casino located in Vancouver, Canada. This will be the first time the tour has ventured outside of the US to host an event.
Ty Stewart the WSOP executive director comment on the tour by stating: “We’re coming off the best year of participation in the history of the WSOP Circuit and the addition of these new markets really brings our vision to life.”
Each stop on the tour will feature varying buy-ins with the lowest buy-in being $365. The concept of the tour will be the same as previous season with the twelve rings in just twelve days format. The tour will not only feature a stop outside of the US but there will also be new destinations on the tour. Circuit stops will include the Foxwoods Resort Casino located in Connecticut, Harrah’s Cherokee of North Carolina and the Horseshoe in Cleveland.
The final event of the tour will be the $1 million guaranteed National Championship event which will be moving to New Orleans instead of taking place in Las Vegas. This event will take place from May 21st to the 23rd. the top 100 players over the WSOPC season will earn a free spot into the event and other players who are eligible will be able to buy-in for $10,000.
