Earlier this week, the WSOP Circuit revealed the new schedule for the upcoming 2017-18 season. As the tour has become even more popular among poker players, the upcoming season will include 26 tour stops across the United States. Included in the mix of destinations is the Thunder Valley Casino located in Northern California, a gaming venue that will host two stops on the next tour.
The WSOP Circuit has offered tournament events for more than ten years now and continues to be a big hit among poker pros and amateurs alike. Buy-ins range from the low end of $150 to $1,675 making the events very popular, offering gold rings and bragging rights to the winner of the big events. The 2017-18 schedule marks the beginning of the 13th season of the WSOPC with the first event kicking off this August at Harrah’s Cherokee of North Carolina. The tour will continue making stop after stop, finishing up in May 2018 with a stop at Harrah’s New Orleans.
Ty Stewart, the Executive Director of the WSOP, commented that the WSOP Circuit has continued to see success for more than a decade and the WSOP is proud of what the WSOPC has become and how it has performed with partner casinos that have come aboard. Stewart pointed out that players have the ability to enjoy a consistent structure and schedule with each tour stop as well as have the ability to earn big prizes, plus earn a seat to the million dollar free roll with a WSOP gold bracelet up for grabs.
Changes to the upcoming schedule include the Seminole Hard Rock of Hollywood, Florida and the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek hosting events in Florida instead of the Palm Beach Kennel Club. The Thunder Valley Casino is new to the tour as well with two stops on the schedule as mentioned above. Two more additions to the schedule include Hard Rock Tulsa and Potawatomi Casino.
