A simplified craps game known as Street Dice made its debut in downtown Las Vegas this past weekend. The Downtown Grand launched the game on Friday, May 16.
Street Dice is a very simplified version of craps. Instead of throwing the dice within a table, players toss them in a special outdoor pit. The game is located on the street outside Downtown Grand. It is only open on Friday and Saturday nights.
There are only two bets on the table. There is a “Pass Bet” that is similar to the pass line at a craps. This wager is placed before the come out roll, referred to as “Set the Point” in Street Dice. A player loses on 2, 3, or 12. A 7 is a push in Street Dice, a roll that normally wins in standard craps. An 11 wins on the come out roll. A 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 becomes the point.
The difference between Street Dice and craps is that the wager is decided after no more than four rolls. Any wager that has not won after the fourth rule automatically loses.
A player is paid depending on the number of rolls after the point is established before the number comes again.
First Roll
• 4/10: 5-1
• 5/9: 4-1
• 6/8: 3-1
Second Roll
• 4/10: 4-1
• 5/9: 3-1
• 6/8: 2-1
Third Roll
• 4/10: 3-1
• 5/9: 2-1
• 6/8: 1-1
Brick Bet
The only other betting option at the Street Dice table is the Brick Bet. This side bet pays 25-1. The only way it wins is if a 4, 6, 8, or 10 is rolled on the come out. To win, that number must be made the hard way before coming the easy way or a seven is called.
