Potawatomi Hotel & Casino recently announced a $100 million project that it will kick off in Menomonee Valley, Milwaukee. This happens at the same time as Chicago is preparing to have a $1.74 billion entertainment venue and casino.
The major overhaul is reported to promote the brand as it will occur on the complex’s third floor, where its skywalk entrance links the casino with the parking garage, and it covers over 120,000 square feet.
The renovation project will enable Potawatomi Hotel & Casino to offer more gaming options, over 1,800 slot machines, a casino bar that has almost 30 bar-top slot seats, more than 12 table games, and 4K televisions. Also, the casino will provide different entertainment and food experiences besides having a convenience shop.
The gaming floor will have a Fire Keeper’s Club booth, cashier stations, and a high-limit room. The casino operator will upgrade its décor and incorporate a craft bar, gourmet kitchen with a brick oven, and a stage.
Potawatomi Hotel & Casino Strives to Meet Its Guests’ Needs
Dominic Ortiz, General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of Potawatomi Hotel & Casino, released an official statement highlighting that the casino has always prioritized its guests’ needs since it started operating over 30 years ago.
He added that besides elevating the brand, the renovation project will improve the casino’s status as a leading entertainment destination in Wisconsin. This is the beginning, and it will make more changes.
New Amenities Available
Rock & Brews form the restaurant chain that Paul Stanley of KISS and Gene Simmons established in 2012. It is among the new dining choices that the casino will offer, and it will provide a wide array of craft and local beers. Also, it will have regular live music performances.
Potawatomi will launch the restaurant on May 11 at 3 p.m. as Stanley and Simmons make an appearance. A Starbucks Coffee will also launch at the Milwaukee Casino and will be located near the skywalk entrance. There will be three quick service beverage and food stations in which visitors can eat or place orders to their gaming stations.
Construction Details
Greenfire Management Services from Milwaukee and Gilbane Building Service will perform contractor duties as 1-5 Design Build, Inc. is the project’s architect. Greenfire Management Services is the Potawatomi Business Development Corporation (PBDC) subsidiary.
Also, it is part of the Forest County Potawatomi Community’s (FCPC) income diversification and economic development business that owns and runs the West Canal Street Property.
The Community’s Investment
Ned Daniels Jr., the FCPC’s Chairman, stated that Southeast Wisconsin and Milwaukee have hosted the Potawatomi for several decades, and the renovation project is an illustration of how the casino is trying to better local communities’ economy. The official added that they are excited to be among Wisconsin’s best entertainment destinations and to offer new gaming experiences to their guests.
Several new agencies claim that the casino will complete its project by spring 2023. It has done three huge expansions since it launched on March 7, 1991, and the latest one was in August 2019. It involved launching a 175,000 square feet second hotel tower that is currently called Potawatomi Hotel & Casino.
