Riviera Las Vegas will begin selling everything on the former resort’s property starting Thursday, May 14. Sale items include table games, restaurant equipment, chairs, tables, beds, desks, lamps, cards, door handles, and anything else buyers can grab. Customers are required to remove and haul away any purchased item.
Prices vary greatly on the liquidation sale items. Trash cans are $95, show promotional signs for $645, and a stained glass ceiling is $3,750, according to Vital Vegas.
Guests can purchase an entire hotel room’s furnishings for $299, according to the Las Vegas CBS affiliate. There are more than 2,000 televisions for sale and rooms full of cleaning supplies.
A general overview of the items available can be found. The Riviera will be open to the public from 9am to 7pm Monday through Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sundays. Guests must pay $10 to enter the property during the first four days. The $3 million Riviera liquidation sale is expected to conclude in 28 days or until everything of value is sold.
The entrances from Paradise Rd and Las Vegas Blvd are closed. All liquidation sale customers must enter the property from Riviera Blvd.
This is the first casino liquidation sale since Sahara closed in May 2011. The liquidation began one month later. There were reports of lines wrapped around the building. The wait time was four to five hours during the first day of Sahara’s liquidation, according to a report by Vegas Chatter at the time.
