Last year, the RunGood Poker Series kicked off. However, due to the spread of COVID-19 across the USA, the poker series had to take a break. Fortunately, the series is returning on June 8, 2021.
The RunGood Poker Series for 2020 was themed around all-stars. The event hosted by PokerGO involved bringing together qualifying players through a series of events to get 64 best who would compete in the Pro-Am event. It was to take place at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas and be streamed by PokerGO.
The host’s goal was to offer any poker player a chance to play on a massive stage in the presence of celebrities, industry personalities, and poker professionals. Ideally, half of the venue would hold poker players while the other invited poker professionals.
Although the event did not see through, the operators have plans to return with All-Stars Comeback Tour. The owner of the RunGood Poker Series and the president of RunGoodGear.com, Tana Karn, expressed her excitement on the return of the poker series. She also confirmed that everybody involved was looking forward to finishing what they started last year.
There Are Three Scheduled Stops at the Moment
The first stop RunGood will make is at Jamul Casino, located out of San Diego. It will run for five days, starting on June 8.
After, the tour will head to Horseshoe Council Bluffs in Lowa, in the outskirts of Omaha, Nebraska. Here, participants will play from June 22 to June 27.
Another stop will be at Horseshoe Tunica in Mississippi, which will run between July 6 and July 11, 2021. Operators are planning to reveal more stops but will be subject to local reopening timelines.
There is an in-depth schedule of each event with dates and kickoff time included on their respective official website. Each event is capped off at a $100,000 guarantee, while the Main Event buy-in will be $575.
At every event, participants will stand a chance to win qualifying points towards the venue’s leaderboard. The best on the leaderboard and the Main Event winner will enter the season’s 64-player Pro-Am, programmed for December 2021.
RunGood and PokerGO Continued Partnership
Last year’s RunGood Poker Series program was intense. There were eight scheduled stops in eight different cities for the spring season.
Although the event did not go through, four of the events occurred. This is to mean there were already eight winners who qualified for the season-ending 64-player that did not occur.
However, Karn confirmed that these seats would be accounted for in this year’s edition of all-stars. These players include winners for the Main Event and leaderboard champs for each venue.
The upcoming event is an indication of the continued partnership between PokerGO and RunGood Poker Series. The two intend to build up on the existing success starting with the 2019 spring Showbound season, where two players won a $5000 ticket to the “Poker After Dark” event.
The president of Poker Central, Mori Eskandani, expressed that the 2019 Showbound was a success and was ready to highlight more poker heroes through the RunGood Poker Series. As we wait for the whole schedule, we can’t help but remain excited about the RunGood Poker Series return.
