Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas is scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, April 27, after a two-year shutdown following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sitting a mile west of Bellagio on Flamingo Road, the casino returns with a bang. While people can start playing at the casino on April 27, you will have to wait until April 28 to live out your penthouse dream in one of the resort’s rooms.
The casino’s General Manager Cynthia Kiser Murphey spoke to USA TODAY, expressing her excitement about reopening Palms. She noted that Las Vegas was an iconic destination and added that Palms was responsible for making Sin City special.
Meanwhile, the casino is prepared to return with all forms of entertainment. Guests will have so much to enjoy, from casino games to sports betting, the best views from the Ghostbar, and aromatic dining options.
William Hill to Operate Palms Sportsbook
The leading sportsbook operator in Nevada will operate the betting platform at the Palms. This comes after the Nevada Gaming Commission unanimously agreed to grant the sportsbook operator the gaming license on Thursday.
William Hill is a subsidiary of Caesars Entertainment Inc. following a $4 billion purchase last year. The sports betting business is modernizing the Palms sportsbook.
The gaming commission submitted several conditions, including that ticker writers should be employed by William Hill. Also, there will be a surveillance system that must be installed, examined, and approved by the gambling control board.
According to Jeffrey Hendricks, Palms sportsbook will have five betting stations and six kiosks. Jeffrey is Ceasars’ vice president and assistant general counsel of regulatory and compliance. Hendricks also told gaming control commissioners that the sportsbook would be a top-notch project.
Palms casino will also reopen on Wednesday. According to its owner and operator, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, the property will display fireworks and a tribal ceremony on Wednesday night.
