Virgin Casino Isn’t a Big Player in the Local Gaming Market
Virgin Casino is Virgin Group’s online casino app. The London-based company is renowned for Virgin Atlantic, its successful airline and Richard Branson owns it. Still, Virgin set up its only New Jersey casino in 2014.
Virgin Casino teamed up with Tropicana’s retain casino to use its license and Gamesys for its gaming technology. Yet, Tropicana’s casino uses the same technology to date.
The two brands provided the same bonuses, and their sites share the same design, thus having a slight difference in their products. Tropicana’s license generated $398 million as of late 2013, according to PlayNJ. This figure places Tropicana at number five.

Virgin Users Might Notice Some Changes

The gaming firm stated that it is informing its users that it will update its Virgin Casino license on April 5, 2022. It will use Bally’s Atlantic City’s online gaming permit from that day onwards. The Resulting Chain Reaction
Virgin Casino’s and Tropicana’s switches have the same cause; Bally’s Corporation’s successful acquisition of Gamesys in October 2021. Bally Interactive division later introduced Bally Casino in New Jersey in February 2022.
Bally Casino and PointsBet Casino operate using Bally Atlantic City’s retail gaming license. This prompted Virgin Casino to move 4,000 feet to Bally’s from Tropicana to be its new brick-and-mortar licensee. It forced Tropicana to look for another reliable technology provider.
PlayNJ explained that Tropicana Casino is in another situation when it is developed with Gamesys technology. Yet, the DGE list of legal online casino operators places it under Tropicana Atlantic City’s license. Even so, Caesars Entertainment owns it and is Bally’s major competitor.
Tropicana Casino notified its bettors via email that it will switch to Light and Wonder tech from Gamesys on May 25. This will create more differences between Virgin Casino and Tropicana Casino gaming products.
