WSOPC Hard Rock Tulsa Main Event Win Goes to Jonathan Poche

The Tulsa Hard Rock recently played host to the World Series of Poker Circuit. The Main Event of this stop has come to an end, with poker pro Jonathan Poche earning the first-place win. He now has two gold rings and earned just over $216,000 after taking home the title.

During the Main Event, 721 players competed in the tournament which pushed the $1 million guarantee up to $1,081,500. A total of 81 players would earn a payday during the tournament, with several top players making it to the final table including Jeff Fielder and Josh Turner.

During final table play, Poche would earn several pots to build a solid chip stack, which was quite helpful once heads-up play began. Chad Smith would knockout Mashir Khan in 3rd place to take the chip lead during the heads-up round. However, his lead would be small and after Poche took down a few key hands, he would take the lead.

On the final hand of the event, Poche would defend his big blind with 9-2 of diamonds, earning trip deuces on the hand. Smith would end up going all-in with A-K shooting for hearts only to miss out and lose in second to Poche’s trips.
