The Global Gaming Expo (G2E) is scheduled for October. One of the things to look forward to is insights three of the top-notch gaming executives will be sharing.
Three executives, one each from Wynn, MGM Resorts, and Hard Rock, will share the stage to share their thoughts about the casino business in the coming years and how the industry is recovering from COVID-19.
Late last week, one of the G2E organizers announced the attendance of the three key executives.
These include the president and CEO of MGM Resorts, Bill Hornbuckle, CEO OF Wynn Resorts, Matt Maddox, and the chairman and CEO of Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming, Jim Allen.
The three will appear together for the first time on G2E on October 6, 2021.
The President and CEO of the American Gaming Association, Bill Miller, said that the organizers were excited to welcome the top three executives characterized as bright minds.
Miller said that the insights from the three executives come when the casino industry needs to forge a new path following one of the most difficult years in its history.
G2E to Discuss How Diversity in Gaming Is Crucial
The coronavirus is just one topic that the keynote panel will cover. Another topic that G2E will cover is embracing diversity in the gaming industry.
On October 5, the keynote panel will feature a set of some of the best executives in the gaming and hospitality industries. These executives will discuss how embracing diversity is a priority that will help their employees and guests.
This panel will include Jyoti Chopra, the Officer of Inclusion and Sustainability, and MGM Resorts Chief People.
Suzanne Clark, the president and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, will also be attending.
The third executive is Apporva Gandhi, Senior Vice President of Marriott International, Social Impact and Business Councils, and Multicultural Affairs.
Contessa Brewer, a reporter, and anchor at CNBC will moderate the October 5 panel and October 6 panel, featuring Maddox, Hornbuckle, and Allen.
There is also another keynote session set for October 6. The G2E organizers will give more details about it at least a week before the date.
U.S. Rep and Nevada’s Governor Will Open The Keynote Sessions
The keynote sessions will start on October 5, with the first to appear on the panel being the U.S. Representative, Dina Titus, and Nevada’s governor, Sisolak.
The two will talk about Nevada’s recovery and how gaming has played a part in that recovery. Following the effects of the Coronavirus in Nevada last year, many people canceled their travel plans.
Several conventions and conferences, including G2E, canceled in-person attendance. However, this year, Las Vegas has seen millions of guests with people returning to the Strip.
Yet, Nevada is the first state to be a hotspot for the delta variant. This encouraged Sisolak to order people to wear masks in public, gatherings, and anywhere the virus could be transmitted quickly.
Last week, G2E organizers announced attendees must have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine two weeks before attending the trade show.
Titus also played a part in ensuring the gaming industry would be braced to help recover the country’s economy. At the time, Titus was a co-chair of the Congressional Gaming Caucus in D.C.
Together with other lawmakers, Titus spearheaded the efforts to ensure the gaming industry had the help it needed from Washington to keep it operational. Miller will open the session for Sisolak and Titus. The event will take place from October 4 to 7 at the Venetian Expo.
