Full Tilt Poker has come to an agreement with the United States Department of Justice, according to an email that the company sent out to players located within The States.
The letter states that United States poker players will be allowed to participate in play money poker games on the poker site up until a time when real money poker in the United States becomes legal again.
Full Tilt’s letter also says that the company can’t answer any questions regarding players balances, and that players will have to contact the DOJ directly with those questions. Players FTP (Full Tilt Poker Points) balances have remained intact however.
Full Tilt Poker will not offer real money online poker in the U.S. until it is permissible to do so under relevant law.
In relation to your account balance, you will have the opportunity to file petition with the DOJ through a remission process which will be administrated by the DOJ.
In light of the above, only play chip games will be available to Full Tilt Poker players in the U.S. following re-launch, in the first week of November, 2012. Your Full Tilt Points balance will remain intact in your account.
Please note that we are unable to answer queries in relation to your funds – all such questions should be directed to the DOJ in accordance with the procedure to be defined by them.
Full Tilt Poker is set to relaunch on Nov. 6, at that time United States poker players will be able to play poker at the poker sites free play tables. In the meantime, players can play real money poker at sites like Lock Poker, Carbon Poker and Bookmaker.
