With less than a month before it begins, the 2017 World Championship of Online Poker official schedule has now been released. PokerStars has provided the full details of the upcoming WCOOP which will run from September 3rd until the 26th. This year’s series will include 81 tournament events with the Main Event offering $10 million in guaranteed prize money with a buy-in of $5,200.
Because the schedule is so large, players will have no trouble finding an event to enjoy. A wide variety will be provided including a new addition of a low stakes tier. Buy-ins will start at around 1/20th the High level making it easy for players of any bankroll to take part. The mini-WCOOP has been replaced by the Low series and will provide $11 million in total guaranteed prize money.
Day one of the WCOOP will see four events on the schedule. The first is the WCOOP $215 NLHE Sunday Kickoff SE followed by the $530 NLHE 6-Max Progressive KO tournament. The first event begins at 8am and the second at 11am eastern time.
The next two events of the day will include the $1,050 NLHE Sunday Million SE at 2pm eastern time followed by the $530 NLO8 8Max event at 4pm. These are the High events of course with the Low events kicking off starting on the 4th. At 8am eastern time, the Low schedule will begin with a NLHE event with a $11 buy-in. This tournament will be followed by a $27 NLHE 6-Max Progressive KO at 11am, a $55 NLHE event at 2pm and a $27 NLO8 8-Max event at 4pm.
The full schedule of events has yet to be released on the PokerStars website but should be available soon. Once placed online, players can begin to choose which events to compete in, perhaps a little on the High schedule and a little on the Low!
