Ensan has been a consistently strong player throughout the event, remaining on top for the entirety of the final table. He got to the top with his stack of chips and he stayed there. He entered strong with a massive lead which got wider over the course of the first two days.
This tournament may not have been smooth sailing throughout, but it was definitely entertaining. It took Ensan around nine hours that last day, however, he closed the deal eliminating both Dario Sammartino and Alex Livingston. Their eliminations came about over the course of nearly two hundred hands. Ensan scored not only the championship bracelet but the honor of going down in history as the fiftieth WSOP champion – the 2019 world champion. He himself marveled at the moment of realization of his victory when asked how it felt to have beaten a field of over eight thousand players.

This year’s first-place candidate, Ensan, said that his goal for the entire tournament was to bag up by the end of each day and make his way to the money. However, as the days went by his goals got bigger once he reached his Day 4 big stack. Luckily for him, his cards matched his vision and he remained a strong opponent throughout.
Many observers must have been shocked when their predicted winner, Sammartino, didn’t win the final table. Despite Ensan’s strong lead, many had thought that the second-place runner up would rally and take first place. Since poker is such a turbulent game, it could have gone either way, but the cards were on Ensan’s side even though his opponents, as well as, Sammartino put up a good fight for the bracelet.
Referring to the turbulent nature of the game, earlier in the event Gates looked like Ensan’s bigger opponent as he was runner up for a steady amount of time during the final table. However, he was knocked out at the fourth place.
Ensan, however, did not fall behind, and instead prevailed by knocking his final opponent, Sammartino, out of the running. During the entertaining finals rounds, avid fans kept trying to outdo each other by stomping harder and chanting louder. The atmosphere was a raucous one that lasted throughout the event.
Although there must have been stressful parts, Ensan remained calm and modest throughout and acknowledged the skill of his opponents that he shared a table with.
Once the bracelet was handed over, a tearful Ensan raised it up high and appreciated the moment as the audience went wild. The moment was caught by numerous cameras as the latest champion was crowned.
