PokerStars is known for having some of the most lucrative online poker tournaments, and the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) is no exception to this rule. Players who decide to take part in it will have an opportunity to grab a piece of the $85 million in guaranteed prizes.
The most important part of the tourney is the main event. There will be three main events to suit the tastes of three different stake-size categories. A total of $13 million will be up for grabs in these three main events, and $2 million will directly go to the $25,000 Super High Roller.
When converted to days, the 2020 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker will offer $1.5 million every day to the best players. However, the final Sunday of the tournament will offer a total of $22 million alone.
Three Main Events
The tournament will offer three main events, and all of them will start on May 17.
The low-stake main event is named SCOOP 74-L, and it comes with a buy-in of only $109. This NLHE game will be an 8-Max event and will offer a total of $3,000,000 in guaranteed prizes.
The mid-stake main event will require you to pay $1,050 to take part in it. Everything’s the same here, except that the guaranteed prize is $5 million.
Finally, the high-stakes main event will have the same guaranteed prize, but the required buy-in is $10,300, meaning that the pay list is much shorter, so that only the most successful few can share the prize.
Other Important Events
The tournament will start on April 30 and will last until May 19. During that period, there will be a total of 80 numbered events, but each of them will have the three buy-in tiers, which results in a total of 240 events during 2020 SCOOP. Therefore, there will be plenty of opportunities for a lot of people to test their poker skills and luck.
If you don’t like to play poker for a lot of money, you’ll be able to find events that require as low as $2 to take part in them. On the other hand, if you’re a high-stakes player, you will also find plenty of events to your liking.
There will be a couple of competitions require a $5,000 or even $10,000 buy-in, with some of them offering up to $1 million in guaranteed prizes. Naturally, there will be a $25k event with twice as much money up for grabs.
Those who are interested in playing satellite tournaments to become part of the SCOOP this year will also have plenty of opportunities to do so by taking part in some of the events offered on PokerStars. In fact, PS will offer tickets for SCOOP to players who take part in some Spin & Go tournaments.
