Another day of the 2020 World Series of Poker Online Super Circuit has passed, and four more winners were crowned on Sunday. One of the players who really made the difference was playing under the nickname “800-522-4700.” The Costa Rican player managed to win the High Roller event and get $2.1 million as a prize for their effort.
WSOP Online Super Circuit Event #8: High Roller Championship was the fifth-biggest online event ever of its kind, attracting a total of 505 high rollers. The Costa Rican faced Patrick “Babu$hka” Leonard in the heads-up. Leonard ended up settling with the consolation prize of $1.6 million.
The event lasted almost 15 hours, and “800-522-4700” managed to make history in online poker. Other players who made it to the money list also had an opportunity to grab a piece of the prize pool, which was $12,372,500.
The players managed to increase the final pool that initially offered $10 million in guaranteed prizes. A total of 71 players managed to earn money in this event.
At the time registration was closed, there were still approximately 200 players who were actively playing in the event, but numbers soon started to go down. Two hours after the registration process, the bubble burst took place and the minimum amount paid to a player was $57,547.
One of the players who also made it to the money list was “TheMadQueen,” the winner of the first event of the series, which was part of the COVID Charity Event. “TheMadQueen” managed to earn $71,632 in the High Roller event, by making it to the second pay-level.
After the bubble burst, things started to speed up even more, and two hours afterward the event was down to 18 players. From that point on, however, it took two more hours to reach and create the final table that consisted of the nine best players in the event.
The Final Table Results
The first player who lost all chips in the final table was the Croatian player “Sub_Zero,” who earned $183,190. They were followed by a Brazilian “gaufreancienne” for $249,920.
