How Things Unfolded on the Final Day
The final table’s action kicked off fast in the first hand. Eyetoeye14 had less than three big blinds and used ace-eight to move in an early position to the middle of the table. LuiMartins used ace-jack to call all-in but Inflaatio used pocket tens to move 13.5 big blinds in middle position.
championamin used ace-six of clubs to move 22.2 big blinds from the small blind prompting LuiMartins to move out of their way. Still, Inflaatio made a three big blind call. The pocket tens dominated and sent eyetoeye14 packing in eighth place while doubling Inflaatio’s stack.
ForSalary used king-jack in middle position to min-raise and PimPitup14 used king-queen of diamonds to make a button call. The former folded and the latter called.
Three diamonds landed on the turn and the community cards gave PimPitup14 a vital flush. ForSalary used pocket fives to make 13.5 big blinds open-shove in late position and PimPitup14 used pocket aces to wake up.
The five community cards sent ForSalary packing in sixth place. 1IIIIIIIIIIII1 got in a tricky position when they used pocket kings to call instantly after Inflaatio made a 10.8 big blinds effective all-in move.
The latter flopped an ace with ace-eight and 1IIIIIIIIIIII1 finished fifth. Suic1deKin9 followed 1IIIIIIIIIIII1 in the fourth position after using the dominating ace-seven to place a 17 big bling three-bet in the big blind as Inflaatio used ace-jack to min-raise.
Inflaatio’s run ended in third place after using ace-nine to make a 10.3 big blind raise. PimPitup14 used ace-king to make a small blind call.
PimPitup14 had a 3:1 chip advantage over championamin when their battle of the blinds began.the former used queen-nine to min-raise and the latter made a 41.5 big blinds jam in the middle. Championamin got a spade flush from the turn, hence bricking the river and earning PimPitup14 the title.
