As reported by Gambling911, Mark Seif sponsored pro from Absolute Poker since 2004, did a video interview about the current situation with Absolute Poker on rawvegas.tv.
Mark Seif is an attorney and poker player from Las Vegas, Nevada. He has two WSOP bracelets from 2005, in the $1,500 limit hold’em shootout and the $1,500 no limit hold’em events. This two accomplishments were back to back wins.
In the video, Mark discusses when he first heard about the allegations while at the Borgata Poker Open in Atlantic City a couple weeks ago. He was approached by players that also played online at Absolute Poker. He said, “I asked for an investigation and I was assured one was going to be done.â€Â
He talks about meeting AJ Green twice and finding “nothing extraordinary†about him, describing him several times as being “free spiritâ€Â. But jokingly admits that there was no mention of seeing hold cards in there visits.
He also speaks about how he was approached by AP management about how this situation could be handled in regards to refunding accounts in certain situations and he said that they agreed to always, “air on the side of overpay†when it comes to dealing with those that were harmed. Mark also says said that AP has refunded “upwards of a million dollars†already.”
Mark also says he doesn’t think this situation will affect the ongoing fight to carve out online poker in Congress, comments on the Nat Arem conflict and the possible suit against DanDruff.
