Annette Obrestad has announced she will be taking a break away from live-poker for a while, after recently becoming disappointed and leaving the European Poker Tour event in Dublin without winning.
Obrestad came extremely close to winning last week in Dublin, which would have landed her another major title. This time, it just wasn’t in her cards to take away the win. She was initially dominating the table in the beginning, but the heads-up play with Reuben Peters brought it all to a halt.
“Maybe I made a bad play in the last hand. I had a lot of chips for a while, but didn’t get any cards and didn’t hit anything when we played heads-up. At the same time it was the total opposite for him,” said Annette Obrestad, during a recent interview with Verdens Gang, of a Norwegian newspaper.
“I’m disappointed. I wanted to win this tournament.”
Annette_15 became very well known to all when she won the main event of the World Series of Poker in London back in September.
Annette, has plans of taking a little break from playing live, since her loss in Dublin. Since London, she has visited Barcelona, Austria and Aruba and she is very anxious to be getting back home.
