Former members of Full Tilt Poker based in the US have been steadily receiving payments as the Garden City Group continues to work on the repayment process. The GCG released a new announcement yesterday which focused on the next round of payments. According to the claims administrator, the next time payments will go out will be at the end of May.
1,000 people who made claims and the case was reviewed but not approved due to incorrect or incomplete information will be involved in the next scheduled payments. People in this category will be able to have the petitions updated and then resubmitted to be approved for payment.
The players in this category will receive an email of approval before the funds are to be distributed. This will take place by the end of May. This will give the GCG enough time to review the resubmitted petitions and make sure the information they have is correct.
The Garden City Group also stated in the announcement that other petitions will be sent out for government approval and this will include anyone who missed the deadline for filing a petition, affiliates who have confirmed an account balance and anyone who withdraw a duplicate or disputed claim. The payments for those who fall under these categories should be by late July. The statement did not address anyone who may be disputing their balance that the Garden City Group has on file or those who are classified as Pros with Full Tilt Poker.
Since the end of February, there have been two scheduled rounds of payments. The first took place at the end of February while the second took place at the beginning of this month. So far, $81 million has been sent out to former Full Tilt Poker players living in the US.
