The player who has the best score in the first three stops will have a valuable prize in a form of a WPT India buy-in and accommodation for the WPT India Main Event. Furthermore, all four of these stops are included for the WPT Asia-Pacific Player of the Year competition.
The first stop of the Asia Swing is going to be Japan and the competition will run from September 15 – 17 in Tokyo. After that, it will be continued in the WPT Korea in Paradise City Casino which is located in Incheon, South Korea. The date of the second stop will be September 18-24. What’s really interesting is that the WPT will allow players to compete in the WPT Korea Main Event opening stages while they are still in Japan, which means that they would be able to play an opening flight there and then those who advance will be able to take the game to Korea’s Paradise City Casino.
Korea will be the country where WPT will conduct the first Team Event which will last from September 19-21. There will be a total of 16 teams and the buy-in for the event will be $5,000. The teams will consist of four members and there will be only one team per country allowed to play. The teams will compete against each other in the no-limit hold’em and pot-limit Omaha variations and the team that wins will also win the WPT Korean Main Event entries for every team member.
The events in Vietnam will take place from September 26 to October 4 and the WPT Vietnam will happen at the Pro Poker Club which is located in Ho Chi Minh. There will be a VND 22 million buy-in (which is approximately $1,000) for the 8 billion GTD Main Event that will last from September 28 to October 2. Another two tournaments will be a VNC 44 million ($2,000) High Roller and VND 11 million ($500) WPT Pro Poker Club Superstack Classic.
The last event will take place in India and it will be from November 13-19 in the Deltin Royale Casino which is located in Goa. There will be an INR 55,000 ($800) buy-in for the Main Event which will last from November 16-19 and other events will also be included such as High Roller, Superstack, Shootout, and Bounty. Last year, the India stop was really interesting and there were a total of 527 runners. Vikash Mantri emerged a winner and managed to earn $92,000.
It seems that the autumn in Asia will be filled with interesting poker events!
