Mark Day, a student of a first year student at Essex Univ. Fell to his death last week following the 
loss of a poker game. Funeral services for the young college student have been announced.
Funeral proceedings are scheduled to take place July 23rd, persons looking for more information are asked to contact the University of Essex’s Student Support center.
The 20 year old college student died in Majorca’s party resort of Magaluf after smashing through a 5th story window at the hotel. The University of Essex student was vacationing with friends Marc Smart and Steve Kimberley. Reports say the group was drinking, playing poker, and goofing off a bit. Blowing off steam during their summer holiday.
Day lost the poker game. The price was to be a half naked jaunt through the hotel, only he didn’t stop before reaching the window, he fell to his death. Par emetics were called and pronounced Day, a finance and management student, dead on the scene.
Friends and family have left messages throughout the internet for Day, on his Facebook page, and on news stories involving the event. Students from the school describe the University as a close knit group, saying that they will pull together.
Day’s parents were also on holiday at the time of his death, they have however been reached.
