As is common practice for major poker tournaments the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure saw it’s field split in half, with the first flight starting play on the first day of the event, and the second half of the field, or the second flight, starting Sunday at noon. It is now official, the tournament is underway and every one of the 1,136 players registered for the event has seen a hand.
Once again, have the days field found the felt and either joined the rail to watch the events, or gathered outside for some sand and, possible snow showers at the Caribbean. As was forecasted the tournament has accumulated an overall prize pool of $8.5 Million with $2 million being paid to the Caribbean Adventure grand 1st place winner. In addition to the first place winner, another 120 poker players will finish the event in the cash.
Day 1b’s chipstack is definitely Brian Lindsay, who finished out the day with $225,875, meaning he holds the lead in his flight, and tournament wide. Two other players to note also remain in control of more a larger chip lead than day 1A’s chip leader Ryan Collett, Asa Smith and Julio Marines.
Play will commence with the two flights merging together as one tomorrow (Monday) at 12PM EST.
