Every poker player knows that if they log on to an online poker room and participate in a promotion, they will earn some type of reward. It may be cash, poker points, merchandise or tournament entries, but these promotions do pay out to players in some form of value.
Former Full Tilt Poker players will not be able to see any monetary value from any promotions they took part in as part of the remission process as the Garden City Group has now announced they will not consider these marketing tools as having a monetary value.
This was one question that players had on their mind and one that John Pappas of the Poker Players Alliance asked openly of the GCG in a recent open letter.
The claims administration has now answered back with a new statement on their site. The GCG will not consider Full Tilt Poker Points, Iron Man Medals or any other bonus as part of player balances due for refund during the remission process.
According to the GCG website, the Full Tilt Poker Points are considered a marketing tool and will not have any type of monetary value. Iron Man Medals and other bonuses that are similar in nature will also be excluded. The amounts will not be included in the total account balance of former FTP players from the US.
This is disappointing news for players as they were hoping to be able to earn cash value for the rewards they had accrued at the site. Before Black Friday, players would take part in these competitions and promotions to earn extra cash and prizes, and now these items apparently have no value at all.
