According to a recent report at PocketFives, Full Tilt Poker has changed domains, and dropped the term ‘Poker’ from the website address. The site now has moved from FullTiltPoker.com to FullTilt.com. This is a minor change but could be a sign of what is to come with the acquisition by Amaya Gaming of Full Tilt and PokerStars.
Full Tilt responded to an inquiry by PocketFives on the subject of the domain change by stating that as of July 8th, the Full Tilt Poker site migrated to new URLs of FullTilt.com and FullTilt.eu. This change may mean that Amaya could be planning on rebranding Full Tilt as an overall gaming site. Not too long ago, Full Tilt had added casino style gaming with options such as blackjack, slots and roulette. With the acquisition by Amaya, the site could be moved away from poker promotion and focus on casino gaming.
Amaya did state after the announcement of the acquisition, that PokerStars and Full Tilt would be focusing on social gaming as well as sports betting. Pocket Fives also stated that a ‘fully-featured’ casino client is currently being created for a launch later this year. Amaya has stated that the two poker sites have the ability to attract players as well as offer table and slot games to members via the poker platforms.
Speaking with eGaming Review, a representative of Full Tilt Poker stated that in 2014, the gaming portfolio of Full Tilt expanded to offer single and multi-player variations of casino gaming options. Because of this, Full Tilt has moved from the poker domain to simply Full Tilt.
Over the next few months, it will be interesting to watch as the changes to Full Tilt and PokerStars are made thanks to the acquisition by Amaya Gaming. Only time will tell where the top gaming sites will be heading and we will stay on top of the latest developments.
