For the first time, GGPoker has launched a 6-handed spin & gold. Players on the global GGPoker network can now choose a new game option from the platform’s lobby.
The new 6-handed versions of the famous lottery sit & go format (LSNG), Spin & Gold, is a bigger version of the 3-handed games. But, it has several unique perks.
Prizes for 3-handed games are based on random spin. Thus, wins could go as high as 200,000 times the buy-in. But, with the new 6-handed version, prize multipliers go up, and so do the players who get the prize.
For example, the 3-handed games need one winner who takes all the money from the prize pool. But, the new 6-handed games will pay at least two players. Thus, the number of players sharing a prize pool will depend on increasing multipliers.
Any Spin & Gold 6-handed tournament with four or six multipliers will reward two players. For example, contests with 10x-50x will reward three players while four players will get a portion of the prize pool with multipliers of 100x and 200x. Other games, also known as jackpots, have multipliers of 200000x and will reward six players.
GGPoker Finally Meets Players’ Needs
While most poker operators have had various single-table formats, GGPoker only 3-handed single table sit and go format. With its recent addition, GGPoker has now filled the missing gap. Most other online poker operators offer single table formats paying at least six players.
Others offer 9-handed versions. Except for Unibet that offers a 5-handed sit and go format, GGPoker was the only other brand offering the 3-handed Spin & Gold single-table sit and go.
Yet, there have been other bigger LSNG formats. For example, PokerStars introduced spin & go max in 2017. This LSNG format allowed three to eight players to win a prize pool. The structure is still valid across European and global PokerStars rooms.
Moreover, run it once is also rumored to introduce 6-handed LSNG games soon. However, the operator plans to introduce a slower structure in the LSNG format than usual. So, for now, we have to wait and see how their product will look like.
Three Buy-In Levels
The new 6-handed games will operate as 3-handed games through the spin & gold lobby. Usually, there are three levels of buy-ins. The first level buy-in is $1, and the second is $10, while the third is $100.
The only thing that changes is the bigger field and new multiplier structure. All other things, including gameplay, is similar to the traditional 3-handed games.
The hyper-turbo format on the 6-handed format slows as multipliers increase. Another provision similar in both forms is the insurance feature and the 7 percent rake.
Although the new 6-handed sit & gold games are not new in the industry, they are significant on the GGPoker landscape. They fill a gap in the GGPoker schedule and represent an innovation in the LSNG format.
The operator’s newest structure is an indication that they prefer the LSNG format. With time, we will tell whether players will flock to new games.
