Poker pro Dan Cates, also known as “Jungleman” online, has decided to offer up a World Series of Poker Main Event seat for the second year in a row. Cates is spreading kindness as he gives away a seat to the event to one lucky player. Poker players simply perform a good deed and video it and hope they are chosen by the poker pro!
This is the second year in a row that Cates has offered up a seat to the World Series of Poker Main Event. Those who want a chance at the seat have until June 20th to create a video which shows them performing a good deed. The video must be uploaded to YouTube and then Tweeted to Cates on Twitter. Players have unlimited entries, so many good deeds can be done in the name of Poker!
The winner of the contest will receive a seat to the Main Event of this year’s WSOP and Cates will kick in payment for air fare as well as a free room at the Rio! To top it off, Cates is also going to give the lucky winner a free lesson in poker.
Cates commented to Poker News on the contest by stating: “I will never forget when I was playing low stakes in college and I don’t take for granted any success I have had. I want to give something back to those who are just falling in love with the game or haven’t had the opportunities I am lucky to have had.”
Last year, the contest was a bit different. Cates held a raffle drawing for a WSOP seat to the Main Event. The poker pro would tweet his location in Vegas and then he would give away tickets to a random drawing for the seat at each location. It’s nice to see that this year; Cates is asking players to be kind in order to win the seat! It will be exciting to see who the lucky winner is; maybe they will make it all the way to the October Nine!
