Yesterday, the Hollywood Poker Open St. Louis kicked off and will continue with 33 tournament events set on the schedule. Players will be able to compete in various events until the final day of the series, on March 20th. The St. Louis stop is the third out of five Regional options to take place this season and falls just after the Toledo stop.
The main event for the St. Louis series will include two starting flights and will have a buy-in of $1,115. This event will take place on the 18th and have $150,000 up for grabs, guaranteed. Players will be given 20,000 in starting chips and will be competing with a blind structure set up by Bill Bruce, the HOP Director of Operations. The Toledo Main Event was a big success with 323 players competing and Michael Ermie taking the first place win after a three way chop.
The winner of the Main Event will earn a seat to the Hollywood Poker Open Season 4 Championship, with two deepstack events on the schedule also offering seats to the Championship. The series will also include a Regional Leaderboard which will see the top point earner gaining a seat. Players earn points based on the finishing spot in tournaments of the series.
Today marks the beginning of Event #3 and Event #4 with No limit hold’em and NLH Deepstack events. #3 will have a buy-in of $235 while #4 will be Flight A and have a buy-in of $300. Additional events will take place each day until the 20th, with lower buy-in options including events with a cost of $70 and $125 each.
The full schedule of events features something for everyone with multiple events offered each day. The schedule can be viewed here, with the Hollywood Casino St. Louis playing host to the many events offered.
