PokerGO Cup’s Event No.4 played its final table in Las Vegas on January 17. Its six remaining finalists competed on Day 2 competing for the $195,000 top prize.
The tournament attracted 78 entrants who created a $780,000 prize pool. Yet, its top 12 players won money. ARIA PokerGO Studio hosted the final table qualifiers.
Justin Saliba beat all his opponents and won the event. He made the second six-figure score this year, and it was the fourth biggest in his professional poker career.
The Hendon Mob shows that the poker pro has $2,769,831 in lifetime earnings. Also, he added his recent title to the 2021 and 2022 World Series of Poker titles he won. He has won more than $300,000 at Borgata since New Year.
Saliba is a former University of Dayton, soccer player. He was the underdog in the tournament for a long period after reaching the final table and being fifth in the chip standings. Moreover, he was the shortest stack at some point before the first finalist left the table.
The eventual winner held half the chips of Anthony Hu before their heads-up action began. Still, he made a huge comeback and later won the tournament.
Saliba amassed 420 Card Player Player of the Year (POY) points and is among the top ten players in the 2023 POY race. Also, he garnered 195 PokerGO Tour points that improved his position in the PokerGO Tour standings to among the top ten.

1. Justin Saliba- $195,000, 420 POY points, and 195 PGT points
2. Anthony HU-$140,400, 350 POY points, and 140 PGT points
3. Adrian Mateos-$93,600, 280 POY points and 94 PGT Points.
4. Calvin Lee-$78,000, 210 POY points, and 78 PGT points
5. Andrew Moreno-$62,400, 175 POY points, and 62 PGT points
6. Erik Seidel-$46,800, 140 POY points, and 47 PGT points
Action at the Final Table
Some of the experienced players who won money but didn’t reach the final table included Dan Shak, Nick Petrangelo, Jeremy Ausmus, and Brian Kim. Erik Seidel got busted first in sixth place after Saliba’s K-J beat his A-6 hence earning $46,800 and increasing his poker career earnings to more than $43.3 million.
Andrew Moreno followed Seidel in fifth place after Adrian Mateos’ pocket aces beat his J-7. It was his second time finishing fifth in the race after competing in PokerGO Cup’s Event No.2. Moreno has earned $128,800 since Sunday.
Hu extended his stack lead after busting Calvin Lee in fourth place. Still, a jack on the flop helped his J-8 defeat Lee’s K-9.
Saliba eliminated his second opponent at the table. His K-J dominated Mateos’ K-10 sending him packing in the third position with $93,600. This increased his lifetime poker winnings to $30.7 million.
Mateos has played at three PokerGO Cup final tables. He was fifth in Event No.1 and Event No.3 earning $237,600 in total.
Saliba struggled to improve his chip position, and he reversed his roles before the dealer dealt the final hand. Hu used ASpade Suit7Heart Suit to move all-in in preflop and had an opportunity to double against Saliba’s AClub Suit4Diamond Suit.
The board ran out 9Spade Suit5Diamond Suit2Club SuitQClub Suit3Diamond Suit, and Saliba got a straight. He beat Hu ending his run in second place with $140,400
