The partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Grand Final Barcelona has been in full swing for some time now with the Warm Up event now having finished up. This tournament had a buy-in of €2,700 and saw 749 players competing. The prize pool for the event was guaranteed at €1,000,000 but with so many players taking part, the guarantee was increased by an amazing €816,325. In the end, it was Matan Bakrat who earned the first-place win, marking the first time the player ever won a live event.
The final day of the tournament would see 20 players competing, each guaranteed a minimum five figure payday. Once the field was narrowed down to the final 16, the group would be divided into two tables of eight. Once seven players were eliminated, the final table of nine was created.
Eventually, Bakrat would make it to heads-up play to take on Bartlomiej Machon. The two would return to the felt after a break and decide to cut a deal. Bakrat was guaranteed a prize of €315,000, while Machon would earn €265,000. This would leave an additional €40,000 for the winner of the tournament.
After a few hands, the final hand would go down with Bakrat holding the chip lead. Machon would go all in with Ace-Queen and Bakrat would call with Ace-10. Bakrat earned two pair off the flop and a ten on the river gave him a full house, securing the first-place win and extra cash.
