Online poker room Lock Poker seems to be continuing on their downward spiral. The online poker room has had problem after problem, with cash-out issues and controversy taking precedence. It has now been announced that Lock has lost a top sponsored player, Michael Mizrachi. According to a report by Online Poker Report, Mizrachi is now no longer a sponsored pro at the site.
Mizrachi was the most recognizable player associated with Lock and had signed a deal at the beginning of 2013. In less than one year, the online poker room has now lost their best representation. The endorsement deal has now been cut short by Mizrachi, who was once excited to work with the online poker room.
When he signed with Lock, Mizrachi talked about how the online poker room has grown and proven they are a ‘leader in the online poker industry in a very short period of time’. It seems now his tune has changed and in an interview with Bluff, Mizrachi stated that he has ended his relationship with Lock and that he will be releasing a statement soon.
Since Mizrachi did not specifically state why he left the online poker room, one can only speculate however, Lock has been under so much controversy, it is not surprising that the pro wanted to cut his losses before things got worse. Lock has been in the spotlight for months now thanks to cash out issues that have plagued players at the site. Not to mention being exposed for allegedly offering preferred cash out policy to big spenders.
Even though Mizrachi left the online poker room, there are still players left that are affiliated with the site. It will be interesting to see how much longer the pros will remain. Several well-known players are still associated with the site including: Annette Obrestad, Eric Lynch, Felipe Ramos and Greg Tiller.
