Just a few days ago, we brought you a report stating that the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship will be back in action in just a few short days. There are 64 available spots in the tournament and players are invited to participate. At the time of our last report, only a few pros had announced they were competing in the event. Now, NBC has released an official list, however, only half of the 64 player field has been announced.
Everyone, from fans and players as well as the media have been waiting to see who will compete in the event, which did not take place last year. So far, the following players are scheduled to compete:

On January 24th the event will kick off and will continue until the 26th. Each session of heads up play will take place from 1:30pm PT. The event will have a draw party on January 23rd where the first round heads up matches will be announced as well as the brackets for the event. The party will kick off at 9pm and players will then know who they will be facing during the first round of play. The rest of the playing field should be released in the coming weeks. Stay tuned and we will announce the last thirty two players of the event as soon as NBC announces the lineup.
