Way to go ‘Dad’! Ian Frazer, father of three from England has just qualified for the second year in a row for the Ladbrokes Poker Million VI. In last year’s Poker Million V Raj Modha beat him out. Earning more than $1Million in the past three years playing poker, Frazer learned his skills on a website playing Texas Hold’em.
Nicknamed the Razor, after he honed his skills, he began playing in the online tournaments. Although a contender for the big time, he says he has no intention of quitting his day job. For the last fifteen years he has been employed by Vidette, Ltd. as a project manager. Prior to that, he also qualified three times for a seat in the World Series of Poker (WSOP).
It’s been said that Frazer is not intimidated by playing against the cream of the crop in poker. He was however quoted as saying, “Going head-to-head with the world’s premiere poker elite will be a test in itself, let alone playing under the pressure of studio lights and cameras. I got beaten heads up last year in the first televised heat by the eventual winner Raj Modha, so this year I’m looking for some revenge.”
Online qualification for Ladbrokes Poker Million VI is no longer available. All 72 seats have been sold, reserved for sponsored players who want to buy-in, or won by players who have qualified online. December 21, 2007 will be the televised final broadcasted live on Sky Sports and we will see how this father of three fares this year.
