Resorts World Las Vegas kept many poker players engaged in the PokerStars North American Poker Tour (NAPT). More than 200 participants advanced to the Main Event’s Day 2. However, many talented players such as Phil Hellmuth got busted without cashing.
Even so, a large number of the remaining players reached the money bracket including Landon Tice, Maria Konnikova, Jarred Jaffe, Matt Affleck, Anthony Zinno, Dongwoo Ko, and Shannon Shorr. Only 34 players advanced to the Main Event’s Day 3 which was scheduled to start at 12:30.

Dianaty’s Lead
Day 2 was fast-paced as each player was determined to proceed to Day 3. Eventually, Dianaty took the stack lead late in the day with a 3,220,000 stack, equivalent to 129 big blinds. They are almost twice his opponent’s stacks.
Liran Betito is second on the leaderboard with 1,885,000 chips. Most of the eight leading players in the tournament are Americans.
Sergio Aido, a Spaniard is leading the European players with 1,635,000 chips. Statistics show that his poker event earnings exceed $15 million.
Tomas Patka reached the Eureka and FPS’ final tables that PokerStars sponsored. Yet, he will compete with Dianaty for the tournament’s top prize.
The PokerStars Cup Starts
Only several tables are remaining in the NAPT Main Event. Yet, Resorts World began the $550 PokerStars Cup. Its Day I flights played on November 10. It has a small buy-in and a $300,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Gaming analysts predict that the tournament will attract more than two hundred players. Individuals who exited the Main Event are eligible for the event.
Hundreds of players registered for PokerStars Cup’s Day 1A and Day 1B on Thursday. Still, two extra starting flights started on Friday and the prize pool was likely to surpass $300,000.
The $550 8-Game tournament attracted 65 entrants and lasted for a day. Nine of its participants were Americans. Andrew Yeh beat Benjamin Miner in the final hand to bag $9,355 and the title.
NAPT Begins Offering Live Streams
PokerStars started live-streaming events on November 10. Its supporters can access the streams on YouTube channels and at PokerStars Twitch.
James Hartigan and Joe Stapleton will offer a live broadcast of Day 3’s action. But, Griffin Benger, Nick Walsh, and Maria Ho will join them as the game continues.
There will be numerous huge pots as the players battle for a final table seat. Still, the live action will be entertaining as the High Roller and Main Event excite fans.
