Tom Marchese managed to win his first partypoker LIVE MILLIONS event which took place in the US. He managed to take down the event which was held at Vegas at the Aria Resort and Casino, winning a total of $1,000,000 in the process. The fourth day was pretty intense for Marchese as he had to play for ten hours, facing Jeremy Ausmus as his final opponent. Marchese is not a stranger to seven-figure scores, but it has been a while since he won one. In fact, the last time he won so much money was back in December 2016.

Marchese stated after the victory that the field had been a mixture of pros and amateurs, with the best ones ending up in the final three of four tables. In fact, he added that it was crazy how many good players had remained in the game in the end.
The Final Table Scores
Tom Marchese was already a leader when the last nine players gathered around one table, with Deem and Moneymaker just behind them. The action started right away, as Sergio Aido managed to double his chips when he had aces against ace-queen that Moneymaker had as his hole cards. In fact, Chris Moneymaker did not manage to go much further. It was Marchese who gave the final blow to Moneymaker, making him hit the rail as the ninth-placed player for $90,000. Marchese admitted to being very lucky as he had managed to turn a set against Moneymaker’s pocket kings.
The next player to hit the rail was German Tobias Duthweiler, who managed to win a total of $100,000. He was soon followed by his compatriot and a popular poker player called Rainer Kempe for $130,000. The sixth place was reserved for Conor Beresford from the UK, who earned $170,000, followed by Sergio Aido in fifth place. Aido managed to win $230,000. Freddy Deeb was fourth and won a total of $319,000, and a Spanish player named Ana Marquez ended up in the third position for $445,000, leaving Jeremy Ausmus and Tom Marchese to duel in the heads-up play.
Ausmus was on Marchese’s heels all the time, threatening to become the chip leader, but Marchese was a tough nut to crack. At the start of the heads-up play, he already had a significant chip lead. Nevertheless, Ausmus played a great hand and soon managed to double up. It was all in vain, as Marchese was more determined than ever to claim the title and win $1,000,000. He ground Ausmus down to twenty big blinds. In the last hand, he had ace-jack and managed to turn another ace, thus becoming a partypoker MILLIONS champion.
Jeremy Ausmus had to settle for the second place, which brought him a total of $650,000. It was a great event overall, full of extraordinary plays made by some of the best poker players at the moment.
