In just 6 days the second installment of the New Jersey Championship of Online Poker will begin, offering poker players in New Jersey the opportunity to compete in several tournament events, with a guaranteed total prize pool of at least $1 million.
The series kicks off on April 16th and will continue until April 26th, with several events taking place on the final day – including the Main Event. It is looking to match or exceed the success that the Garden State Super Series II had in early January of this year, which saw the prize pool hit $1.5 million. The NJCOP II will offer a total of 35 tournament events with $1 million in guaranteed prize money up for grabs. Players will see buyins that will range anywhere from as low as $50 to as high as $1,000 for each event. It gets even better though. For the first time players will get to play a major online poker championship series from their mobile device! How cool is that?
Now it was obviously no coincidence that this year’s series was scheduled strategically to clash with the WPT World Championship and the Borgata Spring Poker Open. Running the NJCOP II around this time will allow travelers to the events to also be able to take part in the online poker series. Not only can players take part in the events online but they will also be able to make deposits for each online tournament via the Borgata Casino cashier cage. Since PartyPoker NJ and Borgata are partners this also provides an additional level of convenience to anyone competing in both the casino tournaments and the NJCOP II.

The series will kick off at 6pm EST with Event #1, the $20,000 GTD NLH Freezeout-9 Max-Player Choice event. This is one of two Player’s Choice events on the schedule. The second is Event #21 which offers a $20,000 GTD NLH 6 Max Double Chance (1 X Rebuy Only) tournament.
