PACOOP to Take Place on PokerStars

The World Championship of Online Poker is underway at the moment at PokerStars, with thousands of players testing their luck and skills in one of the biggest online poker festivals in the world. However, PokerStars has already made plans for another huge poker series – Pennsylvania Championship of Online Poker. In fact, the series already started on September 19, and will last through October 5.

This will be the second edition of the series, with more than $1.5 million being distributed last year to the most successful players. Once again, players from PA will have an opportunity to test each other’s poker skills and win lucrative rewards for their effort.

A total of 50 events will take place as part of the PACOOP that will last for 17 days. Players will have a chance to win a slice of the $1.5 million in guaranteed prizes.

The Main Event

The 2020 PACOOP Main Event will take place on October 4. It will require a $300 buy-in and offer $200,000 in guaranteed prizes. Last year, the guaranteed prize was $150,000, and the players managed to create a $179,200 prize pool.

A player nicknamed “Gyea08” managed to win, receiving a total of $32,042. The event attracted 420 players and 220 re-entries. This year, even more players are expected to join the Main Event due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic that closed the doors of many poker rooms (or at least limited their operations).

Other Events

Apart from the Main Event, there will be plenty of other chances to win hefty prizes. Buy-ins will range from $20 to $500, and there will also be plenty of satellite tournaments where players will be able to win a seat at one of the PCOOP.

Players who fell short in one of the PCOOP events can take place in Second Chance Freerolls that take place daily.

Players who enjoy playing poker games other than hold’em will have a chance to play PLO and several other mixed-game events.

Poker in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania is one of the few states that completely legalized online poker, and poker lovers from this state can enjoy tournaments hosted on sites such as WSOP.com and PokerStars. However, players who are in the states can still enjoy great poker tournaments and cash games on sites that are licensed by offshore regulators. Sites such as Americas Cardroom, 888poker, Ignition Poker, and others can be accessed by many poker players that aren’t located in PA.

These sites also offer tournaments that award thousands of dollars to tournament winners. Moreover, they offer welcome bonuses for newcomers. In other words, new players who decide to join a poker platform can get a boost in bonus money. Make sure to check out reviews of these sites on 4Flush and learn more about them if you want to play online poker and you’re not located in Pennsylvania to access tournaments that are even more lucrative than PCOOP.
