Top online poker room, PokerStars, has announced that they now have two more pros on their Team Online roster. The online poker room has signed Naoya ‘nkeyno’ Kihara and Caio ‘pessagno’ Pessagno to their online poker team. The two pros will be competing in online and live events and represent the online poker room in doing so.
Kihara has a few credits under his belt, including becoming the first Japanese player to win a WSOP bracelet. Kihara won the $5,000 six handed pot limit Omaha event, which gave him this accolade as well as $512,029 in prize money! Kihara is planning on competing in the upcoming PokerStars Caribbean Adventure tournament this January and will be competing in online events as well in the meantime. Kihara commented on joining PokerStars pro by stating: “I want to be a top poker pro who every poker player knows and can be proud of. To be a member of Team Online is a really big step.
Pessagno is the second addition to the Team Online and he has been playing at PokerStars for many years, sticking to the mid and high stake level tournaments. The pro has earned over $1.8 million in cash outs on the site, which is quite impressive. The pro plans to continue to play online at PokerStars and hit a few live events as well. The pro will be competing in the Latin American Poker Tour as well as the Brazilian Series of Poker and join his fellow teammate Kihara at the PCA.
Pessagno commented on joining the poker team by stating: “Being part of this team is a dream for any professional player, and for me this is the beginning of a new stage in my life. I sacrificed a lot to be here and I feel very accomplished to have followed this path.”
Players can compete against both pros at PokerStars when they hit the online felt or they can follow their poker player by following the pros on Twitter.
