PokerStars has announced the schedule for the upcoming Turbo Series, a new poker series branded after the Turbo Championship of Online Poker. The TCOOP no longer exists, but now players will be able to access similar gaming via this new tournament series. The schedule includes 74 tournaments with buy-ins starting at $11 and going as high as $5,200.
The series is set to start on February 18th and will continue through March 4th. The Turbo Series will provide $15 million in total guaranteed prize money with added value offered via three Platinum Passes. PokerStars created the Platinum Passes for the PokerStars Players No-Limit Hold’em Championship which will take place in 2019. The passes have a value of $30,000 each and will provide entry to the special event for the three players who are able to earn a pass during the Turbo Series.
PokerStars is giving away the Platinum Passes throughout the year via various events. With the Turbo Series, the winner of the $55 and $1,050 Twin Turbo Main Events will earn a pass. These two events take place on March 4th at 2pm EST. The third Platinum Pass will be awarded during the All-in Shootout on the 5th of March, with the tournament beginning at 3pm EST.
The Turbo Series will kick off on February 18th with three events on the schedule. Event #1 will be a $109 NLHE tournament with $500,000 in guaranteed prize money. Event #2 will be a $215 NLHE progressive knockout event offering $400,000 in guaranteed prize money. The final event on the first day of the series is Event #3, a $530 NLHE 6-max hyper-turbo event. This tournament also has a guaranteed prize pool of $400,000.
