It’s finally here, the 2008 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) hosted the world’s largest online poker room, PokerStars. Just when we thought PokerStars couldn’t possibly raise the bar, it released the schedule for the 2008 WCOOP announcing that the 33-event series would payout at least $30,000,000 in guaranteed prize pools.
Steps Satellites to the 2008 WCOOP, played in Sit’n’Go fashion, began at PokerStars on July 1st. Multi-table tournaments will begin this weekend, on Sunday July 6th. Cash qualifiers start at $2.20, with FPP Qualifiers starting at 100 points.
Though PokerStars rules state that tournament tickets are normally non-transferable, managers of the online poker room have confirmed that players with extra WSOP Steps Tickets will be able to use these tickets for WCOOP Steps Satellites.
The 2008 WCOOP will span 17 days, starting September 5th with two event per day up until the Main Event on September 21st. You’ll find the full 33-event schedule of the PokerStars 2008 WCOOP below.
