However, now a new story has emerged that is totally different from other reports.
According to recent report by Pokerfuse, information has been released that shows a poker player was offered a special deal if he could rake $10k a month. If he met the set amount, the player would be given preferred cash out policy, while at the same time; other players are struggling to see payment for withdrawals. While some players email customer service and try to get an answer as to why they are not being paid, high volume players seem to be treated very differently.
Pokerfuse came across a report at Professionalrakeback.com which shows a conversation between a regular high volume player at Lock, remaining anonymous, and Shane Bridges. Bridges is a representative of Lock Poker and the Social Media director. The conversation took place via Skype and the player would asking for advice as to if he should return to Lock Poker after a considerable absence.
The player was then told by Bridges that if he reached a certain amount of rake from game play he would then have his cash out request expedited to ‘a monthly payout’. The relevant portion of the conversation shows Bridges stating: “I’ve been told that with your VIP status and playing history with our site if you can hit 10K a month I can guarantee a monthly payout for you.”
The player responds by saying that he has this in writing so he is going to move his money to Lock and trust Bridges on this one. Bridges then states that he feels the pressure because as always he is the messenger. But he does know that cash outs are maintained the momentum from when they started so the company should deliver on his promise.
While rewards and comps for certain players is the norm in land casino play, it is pretty shady to have players waiting months for payment while others will have expedited payments for reaching a certain amount of game play.
