South Point Poker is an online website that is slated to be the first real money online gambling option for residents in the state of Nevada. According to a recent report by CardPlayer, the company behind the site is now looking to hire several positions, including poker investigators, to get ready for the launch of the site this fall.
The website of the company has several job openings available alongside the poker investigator option. The site is looking for software developers, customer service representatives, graphic artists and bloggers. South Point Poker was the first in the state to be able to receive a license to offer online poker. The official date for the launch has yet to be announced but the free-play version of the site has been up and running for awhile.
Michael Gaughan, the owner of the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa, released a statement on the hiring of seventeen positions by stating: “We are recruiting the very best talent to join our new online gaming company. South Point Poker has allowed us to not only create jobs in Las Vegas but provide new and exciting career opportunities for Nevada’s economy.”
The reason South Point has been able to get a running start in the market is due to the fact that they will be using in-house software. Other casinos in the state which are working to provide online gambling options are using poker firms to create their software for them, which take time.
Once the site is launched, only players from the state of Nevada will be able to enjoy the online poker games. However, many states are expecting to launch sites as well and hopefully one day, the sites can work together to offer a National option for gamblers to enjoy.
