Tuesday was an exciting day in Las Vegas as World Series of Poker Circuit made another stop in this city. Planet Hollywood was the venue where it was hosted, and the $1,700 main event was great. We could see a lot of action and exciting poker hands. There were a total of 518 runners and they managed to create a hefty prize pool of $784,770.

The top prize went to a player from Texas called Travis Dorsey who successfully closed the tournament and managed to win a total of $168,722. But Dorsey is a familiar name in the WSOP Circuit events and this victory is not something new for him. In fact, this is the third ring that he has won so far in the WSOPC events. The ring and the cash prize are great, but he had another reason to celebrate. Namely, the winner of the event also gets a paid seat at the 2019 Global Casino Championship. In other words, Travis Dorsey is going to compete in one of the most prestigious poker tournaments in the world.
Dorsey had a real blast and he even managed to eliminate the last five players in the final table by himself. The last person he faced was Ryan Tosoc. They clashed in heads-up play and had a very interesting time together. During the last hand, Dorsey decided to four-bet all in with an ace and an eight in his hand. Tosoc was brave enough and decided to call with a king and a jack. None of the cards on the table were favorable for the players, and it meant that the highest card will win. That was the Ace that Dorsey had. Therefore, Tosoc had to settle for the second place and a nice sum of $104,319.
After he won the event, he gave a short comment on his victory. Dorsey stated that it felt good to win and that he was able to play in the WSOP Global Poker Championship. Furthermore, he added that he was going to get some sleep. This was probably an event that required a lot of focus and concentration.
The other two rings that Dorsey managed to win were from 2015, and both were at the Harrah’s New Orleans stop. The first event that he won was Event #0: $580 NLH where he earned a total of $35,992, and the second one is Event #12: $365 NLH for the sum of $18,750.
Some other players that managed to make it to the cash list in the WSOP Circuit Planet Hollywood Main Event were Nick Pupillo, Ben Keeline, Ankush Mandavia, Dan O’Brien, and Barry Shulman. None of them was lucky enough to make it to the final table. On the other hand, apart from Dorsey and Tosoc, others who were a part of the final table are Daniel Strelitz, Zinan Xu, Jared Griener, Tim Reilly, Jody Fayant, Brent Roberts, and Rafael Lebron.
