Nick Schulman is a popular face in poker, but many people know him as being a commentator on PokerGo. However, this time he decided to cross the boundary and step on the other side of poker in which he also has a lot of experience.
It seems that he is as good of a poker player as he is a commentator since he managed to win the eighth even in the 2019 USPO which is called Event #8: $25,000 8-Game Mix Championship. Although mixed-game is not the most popular way to play poker, there are a lot of players who specialize in this type of game. The event saw a total of 20 entries, and some of the people who entered are the best in the world in this type of poker.
This is the first title for Schulman who had an opportunity to battle the best poker players in the world and still managed to emerge victorious by managing to capture his first USPO title. Apart from the spiritual satisfaction that he had from winning this event, Nick was also properly awarded with the first-place cash prize which is $270,000.

What Does Schulman Say About His Victory?
At first, Schulman wasn’t very wordy, saying only that it felt “damn good.” However, he added later that there was nothing like managing to win a title at a tournament, despite the size of the field. He added that it felt great due to the fact that it was his first USPO title ever.
Schulman is a far cry from being an inexperienced poker player as he was able to win two bracelets in the World Series of Poker tournaments. Furthermore, he also took part in a previous event in this year’s USPO where he ended up in fifth place and earned $120,000, which is still not such a bad score.
At the moment, the overall 2019 USPO score is very interesting as Stephen Chidwick still sits in first place and is still the most likely to win the $100k prize. He was followed by Sean Winter, who also had some amazing plays during US Poker Open this year. Schulman is now officially in third place, and he still has a hypothetical shot at the title.
Schulman stated that he would like to play in the $50k and the $100k events. He added that he was very likely to play the $50k one and that his performance on that one would determine whether he would take part in the $100k event. He also stated that one had to be really pumped up in order to play against the poker wizards that attend USPO events.
The final table consisted of only three players due to the low number of entries. Apart from Schulman in first place, the other players were Brandon Adams and Chris Vitch, who won second and third place respectively.
