If you’re an avid 4flush.com reader, you might have noticed we’ve been concentrating a lot on ways to win your way to the World Series of Poker in June. A very important person here at 4flush, a Portland Oregon mom known online as Lady4Flush is among thousands of moms setting out set out to win their seats in the 2008 World Series of Poker!
In fact, we’ll be announcing a few more team 4flush moms over the next three weeks. 4flush moms plan to hold it down at this years WSOP!
The seat itself in the worlds most prestigious poker tournament costs a player $10,000.00. That doesn’t include hotel stays, air fair, meals or any other accommodations while focusing on the event.
Cathy Roberts isn’t just our cheif executive editor here at 4flush.com she is also a 31 year old mother of five children.
As a strong tournament player, Lady4Flush aka Cathy Roberts believes she has found the most economical way for a woman raising a family way to get into the WSOP. “If you have any skill at all as a tournament player, this is the way to get into the WSOP” She explained.
Roberts told us that she believes this is the year that women are going to really make a splash at the WSOP, and Roberts is looking to make a big splash in the poker world as a whole, not just for women, but for moms specifically.
“We do a lot more than cook and sew these days, heck, I don’t do either of those things! I play poker, and I’m fierce at the poker table. This year, I’m going to be fierce at the World Series poker table”
Roberts told us today her goal is to “Step her way to the World Series of Poker” through a series of poker step tournaments offered by PokerStars, the worlds largest online poker room, also Roberts, known online, and here at 4flush.com as Lady4Flush.
Her first day on the PokerStars Step to the WSOP Circuit, Roberts played straight through, played a couple of the steps twice, but eventually finished the sixth step with a $1000.00 5th place cash.
“It’s frustrating to get so close and then have to start over!” Roberts confided, “But I WILL get to the WSOP this year, and I’ll scream PokerStars from the rooftops when I make it!” Roberts continued, “While I’m in Vegas, I’ll have the time of my life, I’ll root for the ladies, and hopefully, finish in the top 100. Nah, she smiled and said mischievously, “I’m gunna win it.”
So what is this miracle plan Lady4Flush of 4flush.com has come up with up? It’s not really a plan, Lady4Flush explained, “It’s a budget really.” she went on to tell us, “My husband has been very impressed with my small stakes poker finishes this year, and brought up the idea of actually sending me.” she went continued “If he thinks I’m worth 10k, he’ll be thrilled when I get in for $500.00!.”
