445 entered Day 2 of the WPT 5 Diamond Doyle Brunson World Poker Classic but at the end of the day only 152 players will return for day 3. It is still the Phil Ivey show but the field was able to close the gap some from his 100,000+ chip lead from day 1.
Today saw a few of the better known players start to hit the rail as of “Miami” John Cernuto took at Johnny Chan when Chan flopped top pair and turned trips but unfortunately for Chan, Cernuto flopped a set and turned a full house.
2007 WSOP champ Jerry Yang left day 2 as well as 11 time bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth and Jennifer Harmon. Both Hellmuth and Harmon were seen next door playing a rousing game of Chinese poker.
Other notable Day 2 eliminations were Mike Matusow, T.J. Cloutier, Chad Brown, Josh Arieh and the man the tournament is name after, Doyle Brunson.

Big movers of the day, moving into the top of the leader board was , Daniel Alaei , Erick Lindgren and Daniel Negreanu who at one point was putting a lot of pressure on Phil Ivey for the top spot.
