The 2017 WSOP has been full of big wins with several gold bracelet winners showing their skill and earning even more bling in Nevada. Last year, Chris Vitch earned his first WSOP bracelet when competing in the $2,500 mixed triple draw tournament. This year, Vitch claimed a second gold bracelet by outlasting the field of 125 players to earn the first place finish in the $10,000 Stud 8-0r-Better Championship.
The final table of the event would be tough with such players as Benny Glaser, Jonathan Duhamel, Abe Mosseri and Brock Parker at the felt. Speaking with the WSOP, Vitch stated that he knew the tournament would be a battle as the players competing were tough. Vitch commented on how Benny is a great player and that Benny told him he has never lost one of the heads-up at the WSOP. Vitch was glad to be the first one to defeat him.
In the end, it was Vitch versus Benny in heads-up play, both fighting for the title win. Benny would eventually move all in the final hand holding 4-8 spades with Vitch holding A-6 off-suit. Vitch would fill up on seventh street and Benny would not be able to see any help, settling for a 2nd place elimination.
