The World Series of Poker Circuit Choctaw is completed and Max Young managed to win his fifth ring in WSOPC events. In addition to the valuable trophy, he also got to take home a hefty sum of $263,815.
The full name of the event is actually $1,700 WSOP Circuit Choctaw Main Event, and a total of 893 players applied to participate. However, the famous WSOPC grinder managed to showcase his superiority once again. His last gold ring was in another Main Event that took place in Tahoe about a year before this event. Finally, Young managed to secure himself a seat in a prestigious poker competition called 2019 Global Casino Championship. At this moment, this player has a bit more than a million in total live earnings.

The second-place Jared Hemingway was a chip-leader at the beginning of the day, but Young managed to turn the tides and win the competition. However, one of the Hemingway’s goals was just to be in the top seven in order to get a Global Casino Championship seat. From that aspect, we could say that he had a success in his intentions.
Some of the players who did not manage to make it to the final day but deserve an honorable mention are Bart Bogard, Blair Hinkle, Harry Artyunyan, Chris Staats, Marty Gorenc, Dann Turner, Ray Qartomy, Joshua Vizcarra, Mina Greco, and Eric Bunch.
The whole thing turned out to be big when Rolando Lozano hit the rail as fourth-placed. This left only Jonathan Bloyen, Hemingway, and Young on the final table and it is the time when the show really began.
First of all, Hemingway managed to take several big pots from Young who clashed with Bloyen after that. In one hand, Bloyen had an eight-six and flopped a nine-nine-seven, leaving it an open end. He decided to check-call on the turn and the river. However, that was all in vain when Young showed his jack-nine, thus creating a three-of-a-kind with nines. This was the last hand Bloyen played and had to hit the rail.
The heads-up play continued with an exciting rhythm. Young had a small chip lead over Hemingway, but that soon changed after Hemingway doubled his chip number in just two hands.
The final hand was also pretty uncertain as both players were all in. Young had an ace-nine, and Hemingway a deuce pair. However, the flop also showed two nines which was enough for young to celebrate and for Hemingway to hit the rail with a sum of $163,024.
There was also a third player who found this heads-up important – Bart Bogard. He was not comfortable with Hemingway winning this because he would have lost his seat in GCC in that case. Therefore, he has to thank Maxwell Young for defeating Hemingway.
This concluded the Main Event and gave us another ring winner in an exciting WSOP Circuit series event that was also the last one in Choctaw.
