In fact, only two players will be allowed the attendance to Global Casino Championship, and they are Brett Murray, who managed to win the main event and receive a nice sum of $151,145. The other player is Manju Gera who is this year’s Casino Champ.
When it comes to the Main Event, we could see a lot of beautiful hands and intense action. The buy-in for it was $1,700 and there were a total of 464 entries who managed to create a great pool prize of $702,960. Some of the famous poker players who managed to make it to the pay list were Dylan Wilkerson, Amir Lehavot, JC Tran, and Allen Kessler.
The heads-up of the tournament happened between Brett Murray and Viet Tran. During the final hand, both of the players went all in on a jack-high flop. Tran was lucky enough to have a straight draw along with some other interesting backdoor options. However, that was all in vain since Brett Murray had an overpair with kings.
It was a great chance for Tran which he missed and had to hit the rail as the second-place. Nevertheless, his prize was a decent $93,444.
Murray was naturally happy about his victory and stated that he had already played with many of the players before and that he had known them very well.
He added that their style was playing tight which paved a way for him to abuse them until they had a good hand. Needless to say, Murray was in his excellent shape and masterfully managed to win the tournament, relying a lot on his skills.
This is definitely Murray’s best score so far. Before this tournament, he had won 2018 California State Poker Championship Main Event where he managed to win $135,980. Furthermore, he also managed to win $58,000 in a $385 NLH Deepstack which was a part of 2014 Heartland Poker Tour Lincoln. Finally, he won $54,407 in the Event #14 called $460 NLH Monolith of the 2018 Ante Up World Championship.
The second player to win the open path to Global Casino Championship was Manju Gera who managed to accumulate the most points during all of the events of the tournament. She managed to do pretty well in all the events which are not Hold’em – Event #4: $4000 H.O.R.S.E, Event #5: $400 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better, and Event #8: $400 Pot-Limit Omaha.
