The World Series of Poker Europe has now announced a new event that will take place in October and high stakes players are sure to be lining up to compete. The new event is titled the €50,000 Re-entry event and will take place from October 2nd to the 4th in Cannes, France.
The event is a non-bracelet tournament and re-entries will be available for players to take advantage of until Day 2 at the second level of play. Players have already committed to play in the large event. Both Paul Phua and Richard Yong have announced they will be competing in the event.
The Cannes, France stop on the WSOPE tour will be from September 21st to October 4th and the new €50,000 Re-entry event will be the last event to take place on the stop. The entire series will feature seven bracelet events which will include the Main Event which will take place on September 29th. The event will have a buy-in of €10,450.
Ty Stewart, the WSOP Executive Director, commented on the WSOPE Cannes stop by stating: “We can’t wait to get back to Cannes for WSOP Europe, where the stars of poker come to shine. We truly believe 2012 is the year we accomplish our goal to make WSOPE the richest and most prestigious event on the European Calendar.”
The poker tournament circuit has seen the addition of many high roller events and the pros have taken advantage of these events. These events, like the new addition to the Cannes stop of the WSOPE, allow players to compete amongst the best of the best for large cash prizes!
